Smoker is special formulation containing 1.25% w/w  or  1.0% w/w  Deltamethrin. It is recommended for outdoor and indoor space applications for control of adult mosquitoes/malaria.

Direction of Use:

In case of indoor treatment 200 ml of Smoker formulation to be mixed with 0.25 litre of solution per 1000 m area to be treated by using TIFA machine.

Method of Application and equipment to be used:

Outdoor

1.Thermal Fogging- Outdoor application of thermal fogging is made with the hand carried swing fog. The dilution for this is to be done by adding 50 ml of Smoker in 10 litres of diesel oil and apply 10 litres of the solution per hectare area. Treatment is to be done during late evening or in early morning.

2.Ultra Low  volume spray-Exterior space treatment in the form of ULV is carried out with portable back-back equipments or rotary atomizer. ULV application gives high mortality of flying insects when it is carried out during dusk or dawn. Dilute 50 ml of Smoker in 0.5 litre of diesel oil and apply 0.25 litre of the solution per hectare area to be treated.

Indoor

In case of indoor treatment, 200 ml of Smoker formulation to be mixed with 0.25 litre of diesel oil and to apply 0.25 litre of the solution per 1000 cubic metre area to be treated by using TIFA machines.

Direction Of Use

Method of application& Equipment: 1. Thermal fogging: For thermal fogging the product can be applied through hand carried thermal foggers, pulse jet or friction plate. In case of indoor treatments. remove all pets, aquarium and foodstuffs from the room and cover all surfaces used for food preparation. Turn off the electricity and extinguish all naked flames. Dilute of 25 ml of Deltamethrin 2% w/w EW in 5-10 lit of water and apply this solution to cover one hectare area. Treatment is to be done when mosquitoes are active. 2. Ultra Low Volume application: Exterior Space treatment in the form of ULV can be carried out with knapsack cold fogger or any ULV machine capable of producing droplets with volume median diameter (VMD) in the range of 15-25 microns. Dilute 50ml or Deltamethrin 2% w/w EW in 1 lit of water and apply this solution to cover one hectare area. Fogging should not be conducted when it is raining or when the wind speed exeeds 15 km/h. Depending on the mosquito infestation fogging treatment can be done once a week during peak season or once in 3 months during low pest activity.

Pyrethrum 2% is in concentrated form it is to be diluted in kerosene with ratio of 1:10 for cockroaches control as direct spray and in petroleum solvent in the ratio of 1:19 for control of mosquitoes ,flies, silverfist  and bedbugs @5-10 lit/ha.
